Ketevan Roinishvili is a talented Georgian cellist whose musical journey began in a musical family, with a father as a cellist and a mother as a pianist. Starting her education as a pianist, she transitioned to the cello at the age of ten, studying initially under Professor Mikheil Khoshtaria at the Music Gymnasium. She furthered her studies with Tamara Gabarashvili at the Tbilisi Conservatory.

Ketevan's performance of Elgar’s Concerto garnered attention from the esteemed conductor Lev Markiz and the “Stichting vrienden van het Conservatorium van Tbilisi,” which provided support for her studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. After earning her Bachelor’s degree under Professor Dmitri Ferschtman, she continued her education at the “Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien” with Professor Reinhard Latzko. In 2014, she completed her studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam with Professor Floris Mijnders, graduating Cum Laude.

Throughout her career, Ketevan has achieved notable success in various competitions, including the Georgian National Competition, the Servais International Competition in Belgium, and receiving a special prize for the Dutch Classical Talent award. She was selected for the New Masters on Tour Series, performing throughout Europe, and was a member of the Cello Quartet “Ferschtman” from 2015 to 2018.

In 2019, Ketevan released her first album, “Nana,” with 7 Mountain Records, in collaboration with Daniel Kool, Nora Fischer, and composer Florian Magnus Mayer, who wrote the piece “Gossamer Road” exclusively for the album. This project reflected her desire to promote Georgian folk music.

As an established soloist and chamber musician, Ketevan’s repertoire spans from baroque to contemporary works. She regularly performs on prominent stages around the world and participates in various festivals, including the Delft Chamber Music Festival, Cello Biennale, Wonderfeel, Grachtenfestival, Veenhuizen, and the Zeeland Chamber Music Festival.
